| Pre-Ballet combines creative movement with primary ballet steps to create an enjoyable learning experience for the young dancer. 4-6 year olds
Elementary Ballet introduces and begins to develop the repertoire of classical ballet steps for the young dancer. 7-9 year olds
Intermediate Ballet presents the dancer with the opportunity to experience a concentrated focus on the study of classical ballet technique and the exploration of proper technical execution. 10-14 year olds
Advanced Ballet Technique immerses the advanced dancer in a serious study of the artistry of classical technique, its practice and its execution.
Beginning Pointe offers specific technique for the dancer who wishes to begin pointe work. Dancers must be eleven years old to register for this class.
Intermediate Pointe challenges the dancer to attempt a higher level of pointe technique. Dancers must have studied pointe technique for at least one year to register for this class.
Advanced Pointe presents the advanced dancer with the opportunity to focus on the quality of execution of specific classical steps performed on pointe.
Classical Variations introduces advanced dancers to the choreography of classical variations from famous classical ballets. Dancers must be proficient on pointe to register for this class.
Modern Techniques offers the dancer the opportunity to study a host of Modern Techniques. This class is open to dancers from intermediate to advanced levels of all dance techniques.
Modern Choreography offers dancers the opportunity to learn choreographic skills and explore their own creativity. This class is open to dancers from intermediate to advanced levels of all dance techniques.
Pilates Mat Class will explore the fundamentals of the Pilates Method and work toward the "Full Flow" of the mat exercises.
Prop & Mask Making introduces the art of theatrical prop and mask construction. Students will create props and masks that will be featured in Tacoma City Ballet's 2010 "The Haunted Theatre" in October. 10-18 year olds
Storybook Ballet Workshop and Performance offers the young dancer the opportunity to learn choreography, participate in a rehearsal setting and perform for an audience. Tickets for the performance on Saturday, July 31, at 2:00pm, are included in the Workshop tuition. 6-14 year olds
2010-2011 Season Performance Workshop is designed for performing dancers who wish to learn select choreography from all major productions of Tacoma City Ballet's 2010-2011 season including The Haunted Theatre, Nutcracker, The Storybook Ballet Tea Party and Carmina Burana.
